I had foot surgery in January and have been non- weight bearing since and will continue to be for a couple more weeks. And later I will be using it again when I have surgery on the other foot. I expect it to give me service far beyond what I need.I give it a 5-star rating even though I give it 4 each for stability and maneuverability. There are reasons for this. STABILITY: You need to learn to use it properly and always be aware of what you are rolling on and where your body is in relation to the scooter. I did topple over it early on, but I was not paying enough attention to my center of balance and how the scooter was sitting on an area rug. MANEUVERABILITY: My house is not large and so turns are not always a smooth circling motion. But I learned which paths into rooms and around the furniture to take, how many multi-point turns I need, etc. It works just fine in my smaller space but I had to learn to make it work. Once I got the hang of these things, I have had weeks of mobility that I could not otherwise have enjoyed. The basket actually holds a lot, reading books, or a thermos of coffee and bottles of water, a purse, etc. WARNING: The bag can actually hold more weight than is prudent for use of the scooter. If you overweigh the basket and then lean onto the handle bars, you can feel it become front heavy. Take that as a cue to travel lighter, lol.The handlebars fold down toward the seat quickly so that my husband can easily put it in the back of our SUV for excursions. And after I was feeling better from surgery, we’ve had many excursions. I have worked my way up to a trip to a huge box store and the biggest challenge is to not go faster than is considered safe. On a smooth floor you can really glide along. I liken it to a skate board for speed and ease of locomotion. Anything but very small pushes with your working foot can propel you beyond a safe walking speed. It doesn’t require excessive effort. It’s not very useful on gravel, but pavement, hard floors, low pile carpet, concrete surfaces are all easily traversed. It is tricky on snow and icy spots, as the wheels have no tread or traction. The brakes, also, are inadequate to hold back yourself and the scooter on declines. Our wheelchair ramp is unusually steep so I like to have someone in front of me helping to hold it back. Otherwise, on less steep declines, I can do it with care using my body position and good foot to slowly navigate my way down.NOTE: I have a bony knee that is painful to kneel on in the best of circumstances, but by purchasing an add on cushion and then adding even a couple more layers of cushion below that, it has made it nearly pain-free for my use.I will also say that extended use can cause hip and lower back pain but that is more about the altered ergonomics of trying to move your body in a way that was unintended and less optimal than originally designed. I do not attribute that at all to the scooter itself.Truly, having such a well-made and easy to use scooter has made my recovery quite livable. I’ve even tarted her up a bit with sparkling bike streamers in the handlebars and a cheery bell. I am grateful to have found this product and would recommend it.

Easy to put together and easy to use. Don’t expect to go off-roading with it bc it’s not meant for that. Brakes looked minimal, but you don’t use them anyway (bc if you’re stopped you have other foot on the ground & scooter can’t go anywhere). Sidewalks, hallways, etc are fine. I made a pillow for extra padding and strapped it to the knee rest bc kid said cushion was hard & it made her knee hurt. After that no issues.Glad I bought this one with a basket on it bc kid needed it to haul books, flute, lunch etc. Basket has a metal framework and attaches to scooter with a metal plate. Nice and sturdy. You can’t really operate knee scooters with one hand, so the basket is necessary if you want to hold onto anything while your scooting. Wearing a backpack threw her off balance so the basket was great.Adjustable height on handle bars and knee seat is easy to use.Yes, you can turn it over if you try to make a sharp turn. Yes, you can turn it over if your other leg doesn’t function well or if you already have balance issues. If you use common sense and are reasonably stable (with exception of the lower leg/foot you need the scooter for) you shouldn’t have a problem with this knee scooter. It was a life saver for my teen with a broken foot.Arrived quickly and was a good value. Definitely recommend for active people. If you have balance issues or need to sit often you’ll need to get the kind of scooter that looks more like a walker with a seat. This is for folks that are otherwise healthy and want to zip around without cumbersome crutches.

I’ve had it for a week. It seems sturdy except the brake handles. They are cheap-feeling plastic and could easily break. The wheels turn smoothly. It’s easy to use. The handy removable carry bag on the front works fine for lightweight items. I don’t put heavy things in it.People of the same overall height may have shorter or longer torsos or legs. Leg length affects whether the walker fits you comfortably, i.e. distance from hip to floor. I’m 5’1″. From answers to questions posted, it sounded like it would work for me; however, the lowest setting on the walker is still about 3″ too high even with thick soled running shoe and results in some SI joint muscle aches. I can use it by pushing with my tiptoes on my uninjured leg, though it’s uncomfortable to do that for more than a few minutes. For a taller person or one with longer legs, it would be fine. I’m keeping it because the price was reasonable, it gets me into tighter spots where the rented wheelchair won’t go, and I need it only temporarily.UPDATE: After several weeks of limited use, the brake handles remain intact (I’ve been careful with them), the walker otherwise seems sturdy, the knee rest is well-padded, the carry bag adequate for light items, and it’s easy to transport in a compact car with fold-down back seats. I think it should work well for most people if they’re not too short.NOTE: I’m impressed by the vendor’s response. I had decided to keep the walker and not try sending it back because I need it only temporarily plus buying something online that might best be fitted, unless you know beforehand it will work, is a risk, one I accepted.. The vendor went out of its way to apologize after reading the initial review and offered a full refund. Five-plus stars for the vendor, Elenker, for superb customer service.
