D. Zebrowski –
Whether you’re looking for a solid place to settle your laptop, or your knitting supplies, or even just your evening meal, this little offering (not so little, in truth), is a nice departure from floor based, wobbly tray tables of ancient yore.Ok, so it’s not the wheel reinvented, and it’s not a better way to slice bread. In fact, it’s far from perfect. However, what you see is what you get, and they did it rather well.First, the table top itself is super nice. Really a solid piece of wood/plastic. It’s firm, quite weighty, and I expect it won’t flex even under heavy loads. That’s great for a stable work surface. To offset that heavy table, the arms it rests upon are actually quite light. This helps when it comes time to move the item off the lap, setting it aside. While firm arms would have been nice, the whole deal would have been uncomfortably heavy. I like the choice they made. I do hope it keeps durable over time, for it is quite light. The whole scheme is great, understanding up front, there are disadvantages to this system. Once “under cover”, especially after setting up your space, well… Hope you used the restroom before you got into position. That your neighbor doesn’t suddenly knock at the door, or a package needs to be signed for, etc… For there’s no easy “up and out”. That being said, if you’re ok with a little extra work in this department, the payoff is a really comfortable, stable and quality surface to work from.Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the end of the world. It is more inconvenient than a standard tray stand, yet imminently more comfortable, also. The last item I consider is worth mentioning is storage. This does not cleanly nor neatly fold up. They’re no real simple way to tuck this out of sight, again, not like a folding table. It’s bulky, three parts, and has no carrying or storage case. You’ll have to figure that out on your own.Like I said at the top, it’s not perfect. However, if you’re willing to bear up with the minor inconveniences, I expect you’ll be well pleased.

This is a quite large and sturdy lap table. There’s nothing adjustable on it. There’s a slight angle to the top, and the height is set, so it’s really just two fixed side pieces and a top. Nothing fancy, but it’s big and convenient. The slot to prop up a phone or tablet is handy, and the side pockets are good if you’re working on a bed or comfy couch and you don’t want to have to dig around for your post-its or extra pens and highlighters. Works well for my high schoolers who like to do homework in full lounge mode.

This bed desk is well made, however, it’s huge! One of the pictures shows it with the bottom pieces flat under the top. I thought that was to show that it could be folded when not in use. That is not the case. I returned it.
