I am 71 years old and have been caring for my special needs loved one for 43 1/2 years. Gradual decline in her ability to transfer to shower has presented me with new challenges. Found this item that seems to address my problem. She can still be guided from wall guard rail, to stand with swivel u bars and then guided to shower sheat…2 shower chair legs inside shower and 2 outside. then push the front pin in and i lift her legs over the shower threshhold and into the shower gliding she goes…..i use hand held showerhead and its perfect…dont even need to lift her due to the cut out. Padded seat drains well and she is not scared and loves being back in shower! Fantastic find. Family member weighs 80 pounds..but that is heavy for us older people.Chair is Very light weight and easy to handle. I had to think it out at first and kept looking at picture and figured out where pieces go. Would be a good idea if plastic over the chair pieces had numbers or letters …of where to attach…but maybe thats just me. Grandmama figured it out!PSCHAIR IS FABULOUS HELP. I SOON ORDERED EXTENSION BARS FOR GLIDING SEAT TO BE OUTSIDE / INSIDE CONVENIENCE MOVEMENT SHOWER HELP! SPLATTER HELP!Also— I WISHED I HAD ORDERED THE SWIVELED SEAT MODEL—SO LESS MANEUVERING NEEDED!ALSO- EVEN WITH CHAIR LEGS ADJUSTED AS LOW AS POSSIBLE-5’ heighth Feet don’t reach flat. I’m about to get a bamboo shower mat that should help accomplish the stabilizing. They hold to shower bar or chair handles for security feelings and are content.Her bottom gets marked if I take the CENTER piece seat out- (not cut, just like sitting on potty too long) and since they don’t complain, it looks like I could help that.I think I’ll try it out and see if it is uncomfortable or just a shower moment – it goes away and is padded so doesn’t cut.Just an observation to be aware of.No rust on chair-or smell!! I spray it withMicroban spray AFTER rinse soap off. Tilt legs and angle on end up and it’s dries.FABULOUS CHAIR- very light weight.

Great chair. It slides so the person doesn’t have to climb over tub. Didn’t like that you had to buy the extended legs. Legs should be higher to go over tubs.
