Eliminates extended bedrest pressure spots and ulcers by evenly distributing user’s weight. Mattress topper features split cell design that alternates pressure between cells every 6- 10 minutes. This system is fully adjustable so that you can choose the desired firmness. This is designed to be placed on top of a regular bed mattress (or hospital/medical bed). Provides alternating pressure support to keep load bearing weight off certain areas. This gives user’s that are not able to shift their weight often healing and blood flow to those areas.

I am 68 have fibromyalgia, lupus other medical issues and damage to my body. Even though I have an awesome 15″ memory foam mattress that for normal people like my husband is great. Not so much for me! I love this! At first I thought hell no! It seemed weird. Now I can’t lay in bed without it! We have an adjustable bed and it helps so much with sitting up. It also feels like acupressure. On my other mattress my body feels like it weights 1000 lbs when I weight 133. This takes all the pressure off of my body. The only thing I could say bad is it makes a sqeaky noise when you move and that when the beds at a sitting position it slides down. It’s well worth the speaking and sliding to finally be comfortable and not in pain. I love it so much I bought a second one in case this one breaks! I recommend this highly for any person with muscleskelital pain. Thank you!

Update: I discovered after several weeks of use that my hip began hurting. I have spinal stenosis. I think the pressure on one part of my spine caused my hip to hurt. I had to stop using the pad. Original review:I normally buy 4 inch foam toppers for our bed. When our latest one wasn’t helping prevent night time body aches, I looked for something else. This alternating air system is great. I added a soft throw on top to prevent the cold air from reaching me (I like sleeping warm). I put it under our thin mattress cover and it doesn’t move around at all. I have adjusted it down from 3 air pressure to 1. It’s just enough to provide a cushion. It works great for me. I am 73 years old with arthritis.

My husband got a pressure sore, which can escalate into deadly sepsis, in a care home. Not wanting to repeat that when I brought him home to care for him with the help of visiting aides, I decided to give this a try. It was way better than I’d hoped. Easy peasy to set up, whisper quiet, and worked so well distributing weight, important because he couldn’t be turned for longer than a minute or two. I held my breath when the home hospice nurse first arrived to check his thin, frail skin. Then breathed a huge sigh of relief when she declared it perfect! If you’re caring for a bed bound loved one, you need this mattress topper! You will need sheets that have a deeper drop than the typical 6” to allow this mattress topper to inflate. So measure your mattress to see if you need 8” or 10” bottom sheets.
