There are some brakes at the top of the seat behind the patient that are fairly easy for the pusher to operate, but I cannot reach them when seated in the chair so if my attendant has left me alone in the chair with the brakes locked, I cannot unlock them. I am really disappointed that the patient has brakes no to operate. Some need to be added. Also I sent another note as I did not receive the travel bag.

It’s light weight and folds down. I need something for my 84 year old mom. She can’t walk very far and after borrowing doctor offices wheelchairs, that are huge and difficult to get out to the parking lot and back, this was a life saver! And I can use it throughout her narrow doorway home and fold it down in the vehicle and fold it back up, when we get to our destination. Even the ER was impressed, on what I brought her in with.

Before I address the “But” in my Review Title let me state what I liked so much about this SkyLing Tech Lightweight Aluminum Transport Wheelchair. The first and best feature for the ones of us that are part of the “Elderly Crowd” is the total weight of this chair being only 16 lbs.. It has both armrests that rotate up and out of the way to enter and exit the seating, they’ve provided a safety seat belt, dual rear wheel brakes that are controlled individually by the caregiver that is pushing their loved one around, its’ narrow width of under 19″ makes it easy to pass through any doorway, solid PVC tires (6″ in front and 8″ in rear) for great traction and maneuverability and lastly the high grade Aluminum Alloy Frame allows anyone up to a maximum weight capacity of 220 lbs. to enjoy being shuttled about in this stream-lined transport wheelchair. The Seller has also included a travel bag to provide some amount of protection to this transport wheelchair while traveling.Now for addressing the “But” in my Review Title, after removing the chair from the very durable shipping box that it came in I noticed towards the end of my inspection that there was a loose nut cap laying on the floor and thus I began to give it a closer look and found a bolt missing from the left armrest bracket, I searched for a loose bolt to go with the nut cap that I had retrieved but with no luck. As a Vine Reviewer I’m required to review all products as I receive them but in this case based on the overall high quality of this transport chair I notified the seller and he is happily shipping me a bolt to replace the missing one. I know from my experience with the many devices I’ve reviewed for Galenus Medical and their new products that this is a fluke by the manufacturer and the chances of you having the same issue is very, very slim but if you did have the same experience as I did I know all you would have to do is ask Galenus Medical for a replacement and they would have your replacement shipped by the next day and that’s what I love about dealing with Galenus Medical. Temporarily I have assigned this SkyLing Tech Transport Wheelchair with an Overall Rating of 4 Stars due to the missing bolt but once I have it in-hand and installed on this chair I will be changing my rating to 5 Stars to reflect my confidence that if you’re in need of a transport wheelchair you won’t go wrong with giving this transport chair your serious consideration…

This was a life saver! It fit through doors when nothing else would (our bathroom door was narrow, we even used it in the shower a couple times (when it was desperately needed! We just air dried it outside!) if you are on the fence about ordering it I highly recommend it! We used this for a male that was 185 lbsMy grandmother lived using it as well to take her places that would be a long walk! So portable!
