It’s not the same as those used in a Physical Therapists office but it’s great for home use.I had a total knee replacement recently and I used it often to assist me with getting more flex. I also use it for shoulder problems as well. You can adjust the intensity and the time intervals easily. I love it. It’s small and quite compact.At times I’ve ended up snoozing during these sessions but it has a timer. I’d wake up worried if I may have damaged it but no. It’s quite durable. Obviously, I have no problem getting into a most relaxed state as it relieves the pain and stiffness quite well. Well worth the price.

I bought this because I thought it might help with back and shoulder pain I have. Specifically muscle spasms (tight knots). I do some nightly yoga stretches and that helps some but nothing has really helped like this tens unit. Normally, when it flares up I go to the doctor and get muscle relaxers and/or steroids prescribed which sometimes helps and sometimes doesn’t. I’ve been low key suffering for years since I have a physically demanding job and all my stress and tension ends up bundled in these knots that cause me pain.When I first tried the tens unit it was very underwhelming. I ended up looking up some YouTube videos about how to use it and where to place it. I read that it might be better to have it going at the lower intensities so I dialed back some and did the tens function about once a day and the massage function multiple times a day. Slowly but surely this little machine worked away most of my knots and tension. I still have some minor areas but I’ve only been doing this for about a month. It’s so nice to be able to do normal daily activities without pain in my shoulders.The unit is small but powerful. I don’t think I would ever need to increase the intensity to the max. I usually clip it to the front of my shirt. The battery life is amazing. It lasts forever! Operation it’s pretty straight forward once you read the manual.Overall one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time! I don’t usually write many reviews but this little thing might end up helping someone else with similar problems! If you have terrible knots and tightness in your back/shoulders get this thing and get rid of the pain!
