I purchased this chair so that I would be able to assist my dad with his bathroom needs. The size allows us to get into the bathroom and into the shower and it is waterproof. This chair gives him the support needed for him to take an independent shower which is very important to him. It assembled easily, is very durable so I know that he can be safely left alone for a bit to maintain his dignity. The arms move out of the way which makes transferring from bed to chair and back much easier. The wheels are solid and turn smoothly. We are able to make tight turns easily. I looked at other chairs, but thought this would be great because he can also use it as a potty chair and a wheelchair. With limited room space it is important that we have versatile equipment. This has made our lives much less stressful and helps alleviate the strain on our bodies by helping with my dad’s limited mobility.

It was confusing to assemble, the video on the Galenus Medical sale page really helped.I use it exclusively as a commode chair for my disabled husband with dementia. He can’t walk, uses a walker to stand while transferring. I didn’t put on the foot rest, he needs to be able to put his feet under the commode to stand up to a walker. The arms are 31″ high. and go to the edge of the chair so he can push himself up, and lower himself down. Though sometimes he loses strength and plunks all 200 pounds down, this chair can handle it. I don’t need the wheels but they make it the perfect height.I love the larger waste bucket! Smaller round buckets don’t work well for men, no accidents with this one. The floor is finally safe from both directions. It has two handles, I yanked them both off so with gloves I can handle the bucket safely. I use Lunderg commode liners, here on Galenus Medical, they fit perfectly without the handles.>>>>>>>>Here i am 2 months later, the rear two wheels no longer lock, making the chair unstable. I tried to call the manufacturer, but it seems that Hybodies is no longer around.

This is a perfect setup!Love how easily it rolls, love the push handle on the back, and love that the arm rests moves out of the way for easy transfers!
