So many zip ties to snip.No way will elderly, or fragile users assemble this on their own. I had two of my guys do it for me and it took 20 minutes with both working on it.It takes another 15 minutes to peel off all the labels and sticky glue. Don’t get me wrong…the labels are great. They direct you as far as fitting pieces on the LEFT , or RIGHT sides. You can easily see by the labels on the walker frame what piece fits where. The included picture pamphlet directions are easy to follow.The brakes will need adjusting, but directions are there for that, too.The walker/roller build is good and strong. Very sturdy! The wheels are tough and turn in a 360. This walker has the ability to go up and down curbs.The finish is attractive. I got the bright red and black. There’s a carry pouch that fits on the front. There’s a cup holder that attaches sely. There’s even a piece that will hold your cane, or umbrella. A lot of thought was put into this product.It says it will hold 300 pounds, but if you are at that weight, I don’t believe you’ll fit into the seat, width wise. It is narrow at 18 inches.Additionally this walker is bulky. You’ll need a big trunk, or an SUV, or a truck bed to fit it. It does fold down very easily, but it’s a little unwieldy to lift. It weighs about 29 pounds and you need to be able to lift that weight in and out of your car.With that said, the member of our family who’ll use this is absolutely thrilled with it. They have a prosthetic leg and it’s hard to walk on very far. This walker gives them so much more freedom than their wheelchair.

I’ve been fortunate enough to review a number of their different rollator models and for this model I would say it falls into their mid-range for their rollators in terms of cost and features. So if for some reason this model turns out in cost to be slightly above your budget just go to the Elenker Store on Galenus Medical and I guarantee you will find one with a price to your liking. Now let me touch on the high points of this particular model. I’ll start off and say I was amazed when I first opened the shipping box and found practically every inch of metal was covered with a thick foam wrapping and held in place with a slew of zip ties, it took me more time to unpack it than it did to assemble it but to me that is what I like about Elenker. They want the end user to get a product that is lacking the dings or scratches that you may find on some other brands due to their lack of protective packaging. This model is very maneuverable on grass, gravel, dirt and sidewalks due to the large all terrain 10″ front and rear polyurethane tires. According to the seller this walker will work for a variety of individual’s heights ranging from 5’6″ to 6’1″. They are providing features such as a comfortable sponge padded vinyl seat, a cane holder, a cup holder, a zippered pouch on the front of the sponge padded backrest and a large vinyl storage bag beneath the seat. It is also very easy to customize the handle bars as well as the seat to fit your personal height requirements during the assembly process and speaking of assembly, Elenker provides one of the best User Manuals that I’ve seen on any medical device being sold on Galenus Medical, they provide large color photos showing each step of the assembly process and the text is concise and large enough for us in the elderly crowd so I don’t have to grab my lighted magnifying glass to read along.To me the benefits of an Elenker Upright Walker is that it promotes stability and safety by enabling you to walk with an upright posture, keeping your gaze forward which also increases your confidence after regaining your balance and stability while walking upright. The only drawback over the standard 4 wheeled rollator walker in my opinion is the upright rollator typically weigh approximately 20 to 25 percent more (this model weighs 26 lbs.) as well as being a little larger in size after folding it for transporting in your vehicle so you should weigh the pros as well as the cons when choosing an upright vs a standard walker. Either way you won’t go wrong with selecting any of the different styles from Elenker. I find this model easy to recommend if you’re looking for an upright walker and based on it’s overall reasonable cost and the number of features it contains I can easily provide it with an overall rating of 5 Stars!
