This did just what I’d hoped, keeping my husband from rolling out of bed and providing a good strong handhold for him to help with getting in and out. Very easy to install, and surprisingly robust. The little automatic light works great too, and I was glad to see you can set it to a lower level of brightness, so it doesn’t wake the dog when one of us gets up in the night!
