My mother will celebrate her 91st birthday this month (July 2025), and is frequently told she has the body of someone 15-20 years younger. Unfortunately, she began experiencing some balance problems as well as knee & leg pain while walking, so her mobility was limited — walking anywhere was becoming too risky unless there was someone to help her maintain her balance and be present if (as she feared) one of her legs might give way. Late last year, one of our friends came to an event with her Vive Mobility 3 and was raving about how much of a help it was — so I ordered one for Mom, and she’s been using it since last November. Now we all worry less about her needing to get from her bed to the restroom at night, or move around the house — and it’s given her a great deal more freedom at social events, shopping, going out to eat, etc. The Vive (which we all call “the Triangle”) is very light, so it’s no effort for her to move it around; the wheels roll very easily and are large enough to deal with most small obstacles easily; the brakes are easy to operate (even with minimal hand strength); and the unit is very sturdy. The attached pouch also gets a lot of use, freeing up her hands (and sometimes ours as well); the only thing missing was a cup holder, which we were able to buy separately. She also likes that it was available in purple. :-)We’ve dealt with regular walkers, rolling walkers, even a folding “rollerator” (large walker that can also be used as a travel chair), and none have been nearly as lightweight, convenient, or easy to transport as the Vive. It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble it out of the box, and as Mom’s main chauffeur I’ve come to appreciate the ease & speed of folding & unfolding it.The only caveat I can think of is that because the Vive 3 is so light, it’s not too difficult to slide it on smooth wood floors even with the brakes locked — so it’s important to not lean on it at too much of an angle. Aside from that, the only problem we’ve encountered is that the nut holding the little tab meant to make it easier to fold has fallen off, so I’m looking for another small nut & bolt (in the meantime it’s had zero negative effect on the Vive’s use).Would definitely recommend!

Well packed with all necessary parts and partly assembled as stated. Only took my grandson ten minutes to complete and get height right. Very light and easy to handle. WARNING: Although the wheels are all terrain, because the front wheel is “free wheeling,” it is only suitable for flat surfaces. I tried it out on my lawn because I spend a lot of time outside. The front wheel wasn’t able to handle it. Great on cement, brick etc. Not sure about gravel. Don’t think it would be safe in the woods or other similar activities. Suggest sticking to a four wheel walker for those situations. Very easy to fold and get in and out of the trunk of my car. Additional caution: When using, do not lean forward or sideways! It will help with keeping your balance if used properly. Note that the rear wheel section can be adjusted forward or back to set it at the best angle for you. It is not meant to handle a large quantity of groceries or other items. There is no seat to take a break. I got it to leave in my car for doctors’ visits and other places in large office buildings that require a lot of walking. I didn’t find it helpful in my house because I’m always dragging laundry or similar household things around. Each person will need to evaluate their needs. Great little walker, but not meant to replace when used for long periods of time or carrying a lot of items. Manufacturer might be able to resolve the grass issue by a slight redesign of that front wheel. Get the right walker for your needs. I have had four wheeled Nova walkers for years, but got to the point where I could no longer get them in and out of the car. This solved my problem so I can still drive my self to appointments and maintain some freedom.

This walker has been such a wonderful purchase. I used the awful standard silver walker for 3 weeks thinking my options were that or a heavy walker with a seat. This is Awesome! It is lightweight and easy for me, at 65 years old with significant back issues, to lift and put in the backseat of my car. I don’t miss the seat I get to where I am going quicker it rolls smoothly and turns easily. I am 5 feet and 135 pounds, a large or person may need more stability.
