Bought this Movemagic scooter for my disabled wife, who had been using an Invacare Lynx L-4. She prefers the four-wheeled scooters, so this popped onto my list of options. Bought this one due to the overall good reviews, price, and purported range. So far, not disappointed! The big problem she was having with her previous scooter was that the Pb-acid batteries were barely lasting a couple months before needing replacement. And, even in the best case, their range seemed really modest – a couple miles max. After only modest use, that would drop down to one lap around the neighborhood or about 1 mile: weak!So was really drawn toward the Li-ion battery tech in this scooter. And it TOTALLY delivers! She can now go for 4-5 days between charges with her 30 A-hr battery and since we bought the “45 mile” range version, we have a spare 15 A-hr battery so can easily rotate between the two. In this way, we always have a fully-charged, fresh battery ready to go. Now she is able to do almost 10 miles a day, for several days, before needing to charge the bigger battery; the smaller one is about half that – 2-3 days between charges, as expected. This is an incredible improvement! The overall size of the scooter is similar to the Lynx, so about a wash there. The controls are a little different and the wife prefers the “pull” type lever on this one compared to her previous scooter’s “push” type. A minor detail. The motor controller is really nice with a more sophisticated acceleration profiling ramp. In other words, if you “nail the throttle”, the scooter doesn’t just rocket off. It gradually builds up speed so is more controllable. The downside is that if you expect instant response you’ll be left wanting, and likewise it is a more disconnected throttle/motor connection. This is a bit of a taste thing. The turning radius is not as tight as the Lynx which is a downside in terms of being able to maneuver in tight spots. On the up side, it makes the platform a lot less likely to tip over: it was waaay easy to get the old scooter up on two wheels and she is not interested in recreating the Dukes of Hazzard on this thing! The seat is a little less plush than the Lynx, and the back is not as rigid. But, again, she reports that she likes this one better. The motor and drive mechanism are SUPER quiet. The motor is quite powerful and the thing is plenty quick; faster than any walking pace when set to full speed. The speed control, horn and light controls are easy and intuitive to use. The built in head light is super bright! This was really nice – she had to use my bike light on her old scooter which meant I had to keep switching it back and forth. That the light control is now right on her dash is great. The battery is much lighter than the lead-chunks on the old scooter and they are super easy to swap out. I do wish the scooter chassis broke in half like many do as this helps to get in in the car for transport. But, since the scooter is pretty light it’s a minor inconvenience – just need to have a bit more space in the car/truck allocated for it.She’s had it for a couple months now and has had plenty of seat time. She still LOVES it! And, that means I do too!

Had it over a month. Used it at Hobby Lobby & other stores. Cute & easy to operate. Plenty of power & battery lasts quite a while between charges.

I am giving a five-star review because the scooter is absolutely wonderful. It holds a battery charge for a very long time and I am able to travel long distances in a short amount of time. This scooter travels at 6.2 miles per hour, while many scooters on the market only travel at 3 or 4 miles per hour. Customer service is excellent. There is a little bit of a language barrier, but that is to be expected. Be kind and remain patient. I had an issue that required some trouble shooting; customer service walked my through instructions and troubleshooting steps. In the end, I was not able to repair on my own. Customer service honored their warranty and shipped a complete replacement unit. I am very happy with my purchase and you will be as well.
