   This bed was easy to set up. You can’t hear the motor running. It rolls on p-lush carpets (no easy, but it will roll). The instructions were wrong in one place but a call to the dealer corrected the problem.

   After owning it for about 4 months I have had a major problem with it, the bar that connects to the footboard the rise and lower the bed (the reason I bought this bed) has somehow sheared lobes on the connection and the foot board legs will not rise or lower, It is a nightmare for my elderly mother and I now have to figure out how to fix this horror show. NOT EVEN $ MONTHS before a major failure. very disappointed!! I would suggest looking elsewhere for a good hospital bed.

   I gave it a 4 star rating because of the shipping. Even though it arrived on-time, it could have gotten to me about 6 days sooner, if the sub-contracted shipping company (that works with Averitt Shipping) would have gotten the correct address and an actual phone number to call me. But, since I ordered through Galenus Medical and my phone number wasn’t released to anyone else and someone screwed-up my shipping address, this bed sat in a warehouse for about 6 or 7 days. All while, the tracking info on Galenus Medical had this bed stuck on being picked-up by carrier. When I went to Averitt Shipping web site and put in my tracking number, it let me know my bed had made it near me. So, then, I called Averitt Shipping and found out where it was sitting at. They had to get up with the sub-contracted shipper that they drop their stuff off to and get it set-up to be delivered to me. The driver was 90 minutes late delivering it to me, after I waited all day. But I won’t go into that. My advice to anyone buying this bed off of Galenus Medical is call the shipping company that the seller of the bed uses, at least, 2 days after you notice it’s been shipped, so you can make sure the shipping address is correct and that they have your phone number to call and set up a delivery date/time. otherwise, it will probably set in a warehouse, until it gets sent back to the seller. I just wanted to save others from this aggravation.As for the bed, it was in great shape and it came WITH a mattress! Yay! I noticed that the word “mattress” had gotten cut out of the description, but it did say “innerspring,” so I assumed it meant innerspring mattress. And I was right. So, it DOES come with it. The bed was heavier than I expected and it took me and hubby a while to put together. Where we made the mistake was putting the metal pegs and carter pins in when we put the wheels on. If you want the WHOLE bed to move up and down when you mash the whole bed up and down button, DON’T DO THAT. LOL! The metal pegs lock it in place and keep the bed at one height. It took us over 30 minutes to knock those dadgum things back out of the legs, once we had the bed all set-up. Anyways, if it’s your first time doing this, get a buddy and expect to spend an hour or longer putting it together. But it’s worth it. So far, the bed works great. Don’t know how long it will last, but my family member (who really needed it) seemed happy with it. I hope they get a lot of use out of it. We got the half rails, so we ended up with 3 boxes and a plastic coated innerspring mattress. So it was a total of 4 items that all this came in. Hope this helps anyone else ordering this listing.
