This rollator is worth every penny and then some. It folds side to side rather than front to back and stands on it’s wheels without trying to open back up or tip over. I greatly enjoy the fact it weighs less than 20# and very easy to lift into a car or pickup. With what I have found to be excellent stability and smooth maneuverability with my new Drive Medical rollator I look forward to getting out and about more than I have in more than 15 years. I especially like the fact as a walker I can fold it to be narrower to easily go through a narrow doorway and immediately open it to sit down if I need to . My only regret is not having purchased it sooner . The fact this model is available in 3 different sizes and weight capacities is wonderful . After years of the more usual rollator styles that are a nightmare compared to this model by Drive Medical I hope everyone in need of help to walk has the opportunity to experience what for me is as good as it can get.

I had my second hip replaced two weeks ago and wanted a walker that would allow me to walk normally without the stop-and-go jerky motion you get from the walker they give you at the hospital. I think it is a great investment while rehabbing to have it so I can walk normally and evenly without any feeling of favoring one leg over the other, so there is no limping or putting more weight on my other leg.I received this walker today after trying and returning a few other walkers from other manufacturers I bought before finding this one. I was so happy when I opened the box to find that it came 100% assembled and ready to use right out of the box. The others I bought were not easy to assemble. The other walkers were also too short, which makes no sense because all they have to do is allow for more extension of the arms and handles. I am 6’3″ and 270 lbs, and this walker is tall enough, well built, and sturdy for myself and anyone much taller. It is adjustable enough for anyone who is not as tall. This walker will fit anyone. This walker is also much lighter and more maneuverable than the others. It is also narrower than the others, including the one the hospital gives you, making it perfect for use inside my house. The nicest thing about this walker is how smooth it rolls and moves. Thanks to the larger tires that absorb vibration, it takes all the bumps out, allowing you to walk more naturally inside and outside on sidewalks and streets. The one they give you at the hospital is very jerky, and you feel every little crack in the tile. The wheels don’t roll smoothly at all and get hung up in cracks like in tile, which affects the steering. When going from different surfaces like tile to carpet, the transition is very smooth, and it rolls over the different surfaces perfectly. The hand brakes and parking brakes also work great, and the seat is a good size and is helpful to use to sit something like a box when you need to move something. There is also a nice size bad on it for putting stuff in.I usually do not take the time to write these reviews, but after noticing all the differences in the other walkers I tried, I feel this one will be useful to others who are looking to buy one. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

This is an EXCELLENT option for people who need some stability assistance in order to enhance their mobility. My husband has developed a neurological condition that’s necessitated occasional use of a device like this and when he needs to use it, it is ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS and has helped us prevent several falls. He uses it in the house when needed and it’s helped him “motor” out in public to a degree he’s been unable to do for a couple of years and for that, I’m very grateful. It’s very easy to steer, not wobbly at all, feels very solid, and gives him the extra confidence he needs when necessary. We haven’t taken it on any long trips yet, but for visits to the doctor’s office and physical therapy, it more than paid for itself the first time we used it. He was able to navigate through a parking lot, across an outdoor skyway, into an elevator and through several wings of an office building with ease. In the past, this would have been an “impossible journey,” but this rollator has made it safe and easy for him and stress-free for me.The tall version works well for him (6’3″) and he’s even lowered the “handlebars” a click or two below their maximum setting. He says the brakes are responsive but not too tight, with just the right amount of “grab.” It has a sturdy canvas seat in case a rest break’s needed & the storage pouch is large and accommodates kindles, phones, and even (at home) a curious cat. The color’s a vibrant, attractive red, which he loves. The wheels do not interfere with his gait in any way and I, as the “car loader in chief” appreciate the fact that this is easy to fold, lock, and lift into our car for transport. It basically “folds” in half for transport (just pull up on a handle built into the canvas seat & it will easily collapse for storage–there’s a little red plastic “lock” that will keep it in the folded position). This “folding feature” also lets you safely navigate through more narrow doorways, when needed (pulling up on the handle slightly will allow the frame to “shrink” and inch or two or three, till you get through the doorway. Then just push back down on the frame to fully lock it back into its usual width). It’s a really nice looking rollator: sturdy, well-finished and well worth the price we paid, in my opinion. The wheels roll well on pavement, carpet, and tile. We haven’t taken it off-roading, yet : ) Most Enthusiastically Recommended!P.S. One quick tip: after one of our trips to the doctor’s office, I noticed a sound that sounded like a dry bearing on one of the wheels. When I checked for the source of the sound, I discovered that a small portion of the silver brake cable had slightly folded in, toward the tire, when I’d loaded it into the car. That was the source of the noise; just a very gentle bend of the cable away from the affected wheel fixed the issue and eliminated the sound immediately. Just thought I’d mention it, in case others hear a noise and don’t realize how easy it is to fix. Unless you used to fix your own bike as a kid like I did, you might not know what to do : )—-Have a question about this Nitro? Just leave a Comment & I’ll be happy to help you, if I can.
