Awesome investment. Easy to assemble and looks great. Very sturdy and durable. I would buy another one.
Courtland J. Carpenter –
They have a few of the name brand “upright walker” on Galenus Medical. I can’t say the actual name but it’s a subset of what I have in quotes. I watched those TV commercials a few years ago, and when I got some of the standard types of the other brands sold on Galenus Medical, they were around a quarter or less of the TV sold version. They currently have a standard of the TV brand, for just under seven hundred, but even though a heavy-duty model, it is on the quality of this premium product. I assembled the ones before, and they were similar to the best of the TV models for a bargain price. Features different on both the ones I got before, and the TV model are as follows: 1. Seat was a stretch fabric instead of the solid supporting padded seat of this new one. 2. Wheels were smaller between 6″-8″ vs the 10″ in this new one. 3. Only the even more expensive version of the TV model had the forearm rests. 4. The TV and the previous models I had supported under 300 pounds save the high end which supports 375. This new model supports 500 pounds. 5. The TV and other models I assembled, were not wide enough for someone in the 300 pound plus range. This model is wide I’m over that weight and 5’7″ so it is easy to sit down without being cramped on this new model. There were a few advantages of the TV model: 1. It comes fully assembled vs the easy assembly of this new model. 2. The TV model has light versions that weigh less, vs heavy and heavy duty of this new model. 3. The TV model folds to a compact size and can placed in a standard car trunk and in a standard backseat on a four-door vehicle.By comparison this new model does fold, although not compact, and it’s heavier it’s better for a larger truck, a van, or pickup bed. The partial assembly is easy, but not so much an 80 year could do it easily, help from friend or family and it can be assembled in under 30 minutes. My front porch is covered so I unboxed it there and put it together in about 20 minutes. Most of the parts slide on and snap in place. things like brake cables and brakes are pre-assembled and attached to the wheel and supports, so there is no need for breaking out the wrench or screwdriver. The large wheels and forearm support allow for rolling on most any walking terrain (sorry no 4WD, you won’t be climbing rock cliffs).Nothing about this new model says cheap or easy to break or fail. It comes with cup/water bottle holder, and a cane holder. Flip up the seat and you have storage for lunch, clothes, tools etc. Seat snaps onto support rail. Back support is an arched rail that is rubber padded. Like most all of them there are two grab holds to lift yourself up out of the integrated seat. Finish is bright and should be fine in the rain or other wet conditions. If taking care of an elderly or injured family or friend, you can have someone sit and you can push them. However, it’s not a wheelchair so there is no fold down footrest they would need to hold their feet up. Note: This is for people 250 pounds to 300 plus up to 500-pound limit. It is somewhat heavy to lift up for most lightweights or advanced ages and some health conditions. For those intended it’s highly recommended by me. The first one I can sit down on.

I am 350lbs. It says it supports up to 500lbs. But here is the caveat. Everything is heavy duty on this walker except for the wheels. They are too tall, have super thin plastic spokes to support a chair for a 500lb. person. If you are sitting on it and move slightly from side to side, you can see the wheels bend. As long as you don’t move, it is stable. I am afraid these wheels will break under my weight. I am returning this and looking for something much stronger. This is over rated for the capacity described. If they drop the 500lbs down to 300lbs. it should be okay for someone under that weight. I am too heavy for it.

Item even though was packed and wrapped professionally to prevent scratches during shipping had a scratch in the paint ! Prior to assembly has a scratch about 3” long however is awesome for the need for use the device works as described ! Will nit return for a scratch in the paint I’m sure will get scratched sooner or latter!

Im 350 lbs and 5’3. This has exceeded all my expectations for the price and its extremely sturdy. It is BIG though, so make sure you check dimensions of your vehicle. It does fold up, but not much. It has easily adjustable hand bars and height settings. The seat cushion is comfortable and I have a lot of lumbar spine issues. It got a lot of notice at the nursing home I stayed in for 3 weeks due to needing physical therapy. All of the physical therapists were also thrilled with it.

Gave this to my mother. She was very excited but has two problems with it. She fell twice because it’s way too bulky for her in her apartment and the wheels got stuck. Also, when she goes to sit in her recliner, she can’t reach the wheels when she sits down on her recliner because she can’t reach them from a sitting position to move it to the side in order to raise her feet in her recliner. So I’ll have to loose out the $180 or try to resell it on marketplace for cheep or something. Plus we had to spend another $150 to get another one for her. Was hoping this would work better for her because it’s supposed to help the user to stand up straight. Now she’s slumped over again.

Really really like the stand straight benefit with sitting. Very very heavy to move from car to outside to use. So large had to store in my minivan trunk. Regular walker stores easily behind driver seat flattened when stored.

Be careful! I am 6’2″and 260 lbs. I injured both my knees, and I was immobile. The Elenker gave me the freedom to walk again. It easily supports my body weight. It’s sturdy and very well constructed. The Elenker is an answer to my prayers. Caution: It’s heavy-duty and a load to push around constantly. The walker is well-built and heavy but wide and bulky. I didn’t read it in the product description, but the walker does fold. The Elenker is wide and deep. So, check the dimensions of your path of travel. The Elenker can be adjusted to accommodate a 6′ 7″ person! I enjoy my Elenker. I would and will recommend it to family and friends.
