Big, broad, and sturdy. GREAT handgrips, very nicely sized carrying pouch (I think I can get the Nikon with the 300mm lens, a ‘flash’, and the 50 AND wide angle lenses in that bad boy. Good brakes. 360 front wheels, so in them corners I can keep aero flow without losing downforce. Also wik: A seat! Finally, it took maybe 10 minutes to assemble, and no tools.Its use is quite simple. Grab the handles and rock on wit’ yo’ bad self.Woot.I have christened it The Beast, and look forward to assisted walking for years to come. Depending on how many years to come, of course.Your mileage may vary.

I am pleasantly surprised at how much this walker is exactly what I was both hoping for and needing. I’m a larger heavier person, I wasn’t sure it would be big enough for my hips, tall enough to be comfortable but not so tall it was risky to sit on it because I’d be on the balls of my feet. And the brakes had to be sturdy enough to work in all situations because I fear falling again.But the biggest issue I have with my other rolling walker is weigh. This one says it’s 21 lbs and I wasn’t sure if I could manage that.I’m so very pleased to say, it’s VERY easy to lift in and out of the back of my Toyota Highlander! It doesn’t feel lightweight in the least though. I can literally pick it up and place it upright on the ground then it quickly snaps open and the seat drops down covering a beautiful deeper basket/box under it. I also easily close it back up by lifting the seat up, pulling the bar that folds the walker back up again, and simply picked it back up and gently arranged it back in the vehicle again. It fits perfectly too, not too long or wide for the space. I think it’ll fit in most sedan trunks or backs of small SUVs as well.It rolls beautifully, it’s super easy to secure in place with one brake, turn around, and put my hand back down on the other handle again. It didn’t feel like it would skitter out or away from me at all. I feel completely in control when walking with it, turning around within its wheelbase, and both sitting down and getting back up.No matter where I go, there’s always this higher distress about finding a chair that’s wide enough, strong enough, and tall enough to be able to get in/out of it. The Helavo renders this problem moot! And shockingly, it’s really comfortable too!! I sat on it for 35 minutes the other day at a Drs appointment. No distress in my back, back of legs, and legs or feet didn’t go to sleep or get numb. Just a comfy place to sit with perfect height arm rests and height to easily stand up with no assistance but again, not too tall either.It’s silent when rolling, super smooth with no dragging or pulling on one side or another when in motion. I’m not hunched over but standing up straight and if I’m standing too long so that my legs begin to shake, there’s my chair waiting for me.I feel like I’ve gotten some of my freedom back, I can continue to advance my physical therapy and exercises now, I can go some places and feel like a normal person again. This wonderfully durable and well made walker does much more than assists in walking, it gives me my peace of mind back as well. So happy I took the risk to buy this walker, it’s everything I hoped for and more. Hope you give it a try too as life’s too short to miss wonderful things because your size and lower mobility holds you back.

When I was in the hospital (told it was CHF) I found myself very weak and struggling to breath.The hospital Physical Therapist used those ultra cheap walkers with tennis balls on them to help me rebuild my strength and relearn to walk. It was ok and did the job, but I spent all my energy wrestling the walker rather than actually walking… I realize it was a process…I found myself at a local Rehab Center where I have been living at for the last month. They use the same walkers…During my spare time, I started looking up “better” walkers on Galenus Medical, but I am a rather large guy (weighting in at 230# and 5′ 10″ tall) and I didn’t want a wimpy walker like the ones they had at the Theripists.When I came across this one, I was drawn in by the 500# rating and All Terrain wheels that it had.I had seen these “Rollators” around the Center being used by the little old ladies, but no “dudes” using any. When I asked the ladies about their walkers, they said that they loved them, and that their insurance paid for them. I didn’t want to bang on my insurance for mine.Compared to other Rollators on Galenus Medical, the Helavo H1150 was on the pricey side, but I was sucked in by the “Heavy Duty” listing.When it came in, I was able to put it together while in the El Cheapo Wheelchairs that the Rehab Center assigned to me. It went together quite easily, and only took a few adjustments to get the seat height set for me. I had taken the time to watch a few YouTube assembly videos so I had an idea how to put it together.When I locked the tires with the hand brakes, it took little effort and felt stable and secure. I felt no hesitation as I stood up next to it. The wheels glided smoothly and made the cheap walker that I was using feel like I was wrestling a bull.I am able to walk up and down Wheelchair Ramps with little effort.With this I double my distance down the hallway and was able to sit on the seat to rest as I went along. At first I realized that this would get away from me compared to the Rehab Walker, but it took no time to get used to the subtle differences. The back support and seat are really comfortable.I love the under seat storage bin, and am able to keep TP, Chucks, Wet Wipes, and Adult Briefs (if you have lived in a Rehab Center, you know the value of having these items on hand… lol) in it, with room for more. There are holders for a cane and a coffee mug, but I put my “Grabber Stick” where the cane goes and the mug holder stays in the storage bin. I found myself catching the mug holder on doorways as it sticks out a little too much.The only thing I would add to this is completely personal and on the silly side. The Back Support needs to be lined with Velcro so I can put some Patches on it, and the underside of the seat and the storage bag needs to have Molle Straps for “stuff”… lolAll said, I really love this thing… I am going home Friday, and this is going to be a great asset to my recovery.
