Was so excited to get this chair. Put it together and try it out. I cannot use this in my house because the base needs a 6 inch clearance.This chair is great looking , nicely build But my problem is that the base of it does not fit under any of furniture. The base of it is 5 to 6 inches tall my recliners, my couches, and my bed, only 3 inches of the floor for ease of use for my disabled husband. Therefore, I cannot use the chair.

This is an amazing piece of equipment which can make things sooo much easier for caretakers. There are many pros: It is easy to maneuver with its caster wheels which lock up tight when needed. The hydraulic pump lift operates smoothly with your foot to raise the chair, which is lowered by pushing down on the front with the pedal depressed. It’s a clever design to have the seat pads on top of one another, so all you have to do is lift the top layer off for toileting or showers. The tray table is easy to lift off or put on and has a depressed area to place a cup. Although the construction is of good quality and very strong, the weight of the chair is surprisingly light. A couple of cons: The person using this needs to be able to access it when the sides are separated, which could be challenging for some. I found the directions to be confusing and difficult to read. I had to buy a screw because they sent one of the wrong kind. There was also plastic tubing and a strap that don’t seem to have any purpose. Despite those couple of issues I’m assigning it 5 stars because it is such a high quality, versatile and useful piece of medical equipment.
