I’m a 82 year old male and I have been suffering from a severe case of sciatica. It makes it very difficult to walk without a cane or walker. After almost a month of extreme pain, CT scans and PET scans I knew I needed a walker. Galenus Medical is my go to company and I knew I needed a walker that could hold my 215 lbs. if seated. This unit will hold up to 300 lbs. I have to tell you that this walker is a 100% quality unit. It is very well built and easy to maneuver in the house and I have no doubt that is will handle the outdoors. It easily folds for travel. I’m more than satisfied and well worth the price.

Very sturdy, well-built and balanced. In my small apartment it is easier to sit in this and move around from room to room over my bulkier wheelchair. Nice large under seat basket holds lots of items. I keep a roll of paper towels, wet wipes, my diary and pen, my wallet (had an aide steal it once) so now it stays with me, and whatever reading material I am into at the time and still have more room in the basket. This does not tip as other light weight walkers have. I can’t walk due to botched hip surgery, but this keeps me mobile inside my house.

I’ve only had this walker for about an hour. So far, I am very happy! I’ve used a walker for several years now. I had a Medline bariatric one originally. In fact, I’ve had two of them. I needed the wider seat even though I was nearly 200 pounds under the weight capacity for it. I would classify my shape as bottom heavy. That served it’s purpose but it didn’t fit through several of the doorways in the house. Two of which were my bedroom and the laundry room. It was such a hassle. And it was too heavy and cumbersome for me to get it in and out of the car. Anyway, I’ve since lost a good bit of weight and have been searching for a rollator that had enough space between the handles to accommodate my “shape”, even though I’m much smaller than I used to be. I am now over 50 pounds lighter than the weight capacity for this Flying Joy rollator and it is wide enough to fit my bottom! Plus it’s not as heavy so it’s easier to handle. It feels sturdy too. The brakes work as expected. I like the all terrain wheels. The seat is plenty comfortable in my opinion. My son put it together in about five minutes! No problems. One thing that I would mention is that the clips that hold the brake cables to the back frame that are pictured in the video are not clips. They are black velcro strips instead. They work just fine. I thought that the clips were missing until I realized the velcro strips were there wrapped around the back frame at the seat level. So don’t overlook them. I know it’s really early yet to review this rollator, but if I run into any issues or problems I will definitely update my review. I have looked at so many different rollators. I don’t want to look at any more! Fingers crossed!!!Well, it’s been about a week that I’ve been using this walker now. I still like it. I just thought I’d add some comments. I’m not thrilled with the plastic pieces that stick out on the bottom of the legs. I know that their purpose is to lift the front wheels when you come to a curb or uneven surface by stepping on them. I never had this feature on any other rollator that I’ve ever owned and frankly I never wished I did. I’ve actually bumped my ankles on them a few times and it hurts like hell! I may need to find a way to cushion them. This rollator is narrower than my old one so it might be something that I get used to and learn to avoid and I wouldn’t rate it with less stars because of it. But I wanted to mention it.The storage bag under the seat is great. Very roomy. Even more roomy than my old, bigger rollator.I found that the brake cables, even though velcroed to the back legs, were sticking out and getting caught on things when I passed by. I had a couple of really small bungee cords that I used to secure them to the front legs at the seat level and that seems to be working well. Still happy with my purchase. I will update if anything comes up.
