My mom loves this for trips. She can’t walk far, so this gave her freedom on vacation to get every where and independence in the airports. No waiting for people to push her and we checked it at the airline gate, no issues. The battery is so easy to install and remove when needed. It’s so light weight, any one can easily fold and put in the car. Battery lasted most of the long day of travel. Just bring the cord in case.

Documentation is unclear and does not mention the bypass port. Found it online on their website. That said, basic assembly is simple enough that detailed reading isn’t required for assembly and getting started. Steering control on the included joystick was a little awkward, but once you get used to it, the driving is simple. You can fine-tune the control settings. That’s where the documentation is strongest.

My husband searched for quite some time before we purchased this chair. #1 it had to be light enough and easy enough for me to be able to lift it and get it in and out of the car for him. I’m 72 years old, and I am able to do that. #2 it needed to have a good battery, and having the gage on it so you can see the battery level makes that perfect. At first, he kind of wanted to be able to lift one arm up to make it easier to get in and out from some situations, and he found he could remove one screw to be able to do that, but it made folding it and putting it in the car a lot more awkward (as it flopped around) and we ended up putting the screw back in and he really doesn’t have any problem with it. If possible, his only thought was he wished it were about 3-4 inches higher, because he can stand long enough to turn and drop into a seat and this model is a lot lower to the ground, making sitting down a little harder and getting up even more difficult-but we realize making it higher/taller would also add more weight and make it harder to get into the car/hatch. Before this purchase, he had a Rollator type chair with no motor and I had to push him, so we find this much better, along with being light enough for me to lift. A very good purchase for us.
