I have to transfer my husband from his wheelchair to the car seat.He can help a little but this slide bar/seat thing really really made the transfer easier. I just tuck it under his leg and over to the car seat and just push. It’s helps him slide easily into the car. I have to lift it a bit at the wheelchair but it’s not a problem, there doesn’t seem to be much weight on the wheelchair side of the slide bar.This slide bar has made car travel a reality for him.

The transfer board was exactly as described. It has “rubber” pads under the board on the ends so it doesn’t slip when you put it in place. On top of the board there are grooves so there is less surface area for the person’s butt to come in contact with making it a little easier to pull the person from one place to the other. I like that it’s made of plastic so it can be wiped off with a cleaner if necessary. I’m happy with my purchase.
