DaJamMaster –
I was having a bit of apnea, so I threw a couple of pillows under my mattress to raise my head. This worked great, but I wanted to get something purpose-built. This wedge did the trick! It’s the perfect height, and I’ve been sleeping great ever since I put it under the mattress.I suppose you could put it on top of the mattress if you wanted, but it works fine underneath, and I can change the sheets without even thinking about it.When I received it, there was a very small amount of off-gassing. I left it on the bed until bedtime, and the smell was almost gone. Once I stuck it under the mattress, I never noticed anything again.

For the spouse who has ‘slight’ sleep apnea’ and refuses to get a machine. This wedge pillow is the smallest elevation of any I researched, 5 inches. It fit nicely under our deep 17-18 inch sheets. AND it has alleviated much of my spouse problems. He still uses his pillow, but even he knows it’s been helping.I no longer hear his snoring & breath holding. He got lucky with this fix! Also, it’s helped his acid reflux.

The height of this is perfect for the just slight lift that I want in bed, but it’s way too firm to be comfortable for me. I’m going to try putting it in my hobby space for a while to see if maybe it will soften up after being sat on with my full body weight for a month or so. Otherwise, I’m just not going to be able to use it.
