I have a bit of a bad lower back. It is weak and too much exercise will put me out of commission, so this Multi-Functional Position Pillow naturally got my attention. The promise of pain relief and back support is always a welcome sight . . . at first. Let’s see how this one does. The design is original. It is comprised of three separate sections that fit together to make one cushion. With the wedge section they have increased support over normal bed pillows and provided a means by which to change the angle of the main pillow. That’s new to me. The wedge has a bumpy, rubbery back as does the main section to prevent slippage, and despite my moving about the cushion remained in place. I should mention that the pillows themselves are made of memory foam, a unique material designed to respond to body heat and pressure and spring back to its original form when not in use.The manufacturer suggests that there are four ways to use this modular pillow: On your back, sitting up, on your stomach and under your legs. As I am a side sleeper, the first position is not for me, but could be perfect for back sleepers. It’s not uncomfortable (this thing never is) it’s just not my norm. Sitting up will be my primary purpose. I caught “Apocalypse Now”, today on cable. Clocking in at 3 hrs. and 2 min. I did not get “sitting fatigued” once from being in a similar position that entire time. I can think of several reasons to elevate your legs with the wedge and main sections. On the stomach? Again not for me but could be useful and comfortable for some. The neck support is provided by a small pillow of silk floss that can be custom velcro’d to the main section at the choice. At first it seemed like an afterthought to me, but then I realized it was about the only way to include it and still provide so many positions.I have two minor criticisms and a question: 1) The washable cover is made mostly out of white cloth. While it does present a look of all “medical and orthopedic”, its not very practical. The place we touch the most is the lightest color. Good thing it is washable, and 2) It’s heft makes moving it a task for someone recovering from surgery or just with an irritated back. I know that memory foam is superior to normal foam, but it’s density could make portability a real issue for some. Couple that with the three piece composition and mine will be on my bed always. Now my question: What happened to the pockets? I saw them in the Zikee video, but not in real life. Which is the newer model? Do future shipments have pockets or not?Despite my minor quibbling, I am very happy with my new reading and television watching modular pillow. Therefore I am giving it 4 strong Stars with a good recommendation.

I ordered this ZIKEE Adjustable Wedge Pillow Headboard Set for Sleeping & After Surgery, Ergonomic Reading to use in my outdoor office, our roofed patio.I’m disabled with a pretty messed up spine (fusions, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spinal stimulator) and I’m blessed to be able to work from home. Last year we redid our roofed patio, now it’s my outdoor office in good weather, and our patio daybed is my command center. I’ve found that pillows are a huge help for me when trying to find a comfortable way to sit; I’ve been using a similar wedge to elevate my legs, and so I got this wedge to lean against. This foam wedge is nicely supportive; it comes in three pieces I can arrange to my needs, and I’ve found I can work longer when leaning against this; the throw pillows I was using would move and desperate, but this stays in place. This wedge is made from memory foam; the cover is a machine washable fabric that feels like a polyester or other manmade blended fabric. The sales page doesn’t say what the covers are made from, just that they are “soft knit”. The covers zip onto the wedge and smaller support pillows easily; the fabric is stretchy and soft. The large wedge piece measures about 22” long; it’s about 22 1/2” wide at the base and 19” wide at the top. It’s designed with a curve for lumbar support. The wedge comes with two smaller pieces; there’s a curved base and a small pillow that attaches to the wedge with Velcro straps. The small pillow is about 13” long and 4 1/4” wide; the curved support I received is about 10” tall and 7 1/2” wide. You can arrange the pieces in various ways; I like this best with the wedge standing up so I can lean back against it, but you can also use it in a lying position. You could also use this for leg support. I paired this at my back with another wedge I have for leg support; I found this a more comfortable position to work, and could work for longer stretches before I needed to change positions and take a break. The small pillow has large Velcro patches to attach to the wedge, make sure to use the sewn on side patches on the wedge when connecting. At first, I tried to connect the Velcro to the back of the wedge; it kept coming undone. The sides of the large wedge have patches meant for connecting, the Velcro sticks much better. The grey support pillow has small pockets on either side; I found these useful for holing spare pens and other small things. You could also use these for a remote control.I really liked the versatile component nature of this pillow; it’s ideal for sitting up and reading, but you can rearrange the pieces in other ways, too. This fits nicely in our outdoor storage chest; it’s a great addition to my outdoor office. At the current price ($49.99) this three piece memory foam set delivers a lot of value. It’s at a price point with similar products, and it’s well constructed, with sturdy zippers, washable covers, storage pockets, and a versatile, adjustable design. The memory foam is supportive and comfortable to lean against; it doesn’t get too hot, which is great, since I’m using it outdoors on our NYC patio this summer.Great for work, reading, watching TV/movies; also comfortable for neck support when napping, resting, or sleeping.
