The Dude –
My Chiropractor recommended this to me to help with some arthritis in my neck. This device stretches the vertebrae and frees up the nerves reducing pain. I don’t know how true that is, but I have to admit that once I started using this thing, my neck pain went away quickly. I use it now occasionally just to reset the neck. It actually feels pretty good after you get used to it. The first couple of times I was uncomfortable, but learned how to put it on and expand it to fit my neck and now I love it.

After having positive results with traction at my chiropractors office for bulging C7 disc, I decided to find a traction device I could use at home. I selected this one (XXL) because I’m a 6’7″ giant with a 21″ neck size. After looking at similar products, this seemed to be the only one available in extra large size. In hindsight, I probably could have gone for one size smaller than the XXL as I need to squish this one slightly when securing the three velcro strips in back. It arrived with a useless flimsy strange blue fabric cover on the top ring of the device, which fell off immediately and is nearly impossible to put back on. Like others who reviewed other sizes of this product, I just leave the fabric piece off. Also, when opening the package it has a strong plastic/rubbery smell to it which has dissipated somewhat over 4 weeks. The chemical smell is similar to the inside of the packaging of an inflatable pool toy. I don’t mind the smell too much because it fits my big neck and provides traction that relieves my neck pain.Pros: It works; large size; affordable; easy to put on and simple to operateCons: No pressure gauge; stinky smell, flimsy fabric cover is useless.

Dr. Bob’s Neck Traction reminds me of the one my chiroprator used. It is heavy and well designed and easy to use. I have three news bones in my neck and a large titanium plate. I have also developed bulging discs and neck contractions this traction device helps so much used according to instructions. I do encourage that you read all of the instructions and do not over due times or inflation. I use mine while watching tv on the couch or on my recliner with my head and neck suported.
